House of Pole is an inclusive pole dance studio and community in the heart of Victoria, B.C.

We offer pole dance classes for all levels, workshops, private parties, & community events

I started dance when I was three years old and continued ballet and jazz for seventeen years. As I finished my last year of ballet, I was looking for a way to keep dancing into adulthood. There happened to be a pole dance studio at the end of my street and I forced my ballet partner to come and try a class with me. One experience was all it took; it was exactly what I needed. That was twelve years ago.

I jumped right into pole headfirst and competed and placed in a national amateur competition my first year. Pretty quickly after that I began my journey to teaching. Starting with pole fitness and parties, I quickly fell in love with the teaching side of pole and took my CPFA training and started teaching regular classes. Since then, I’ve followed pole around Victoria teaching at every pole studio I could find.

Richelle teaches Pole 1, 2, 3 & 4 as well as Mobility & Stretch, Heels Technique, and choreography classes on and off the pole.

Alison’s pole journey first began in late 2019 while working to develop a non profit society to support sex workers. She began her pole education with ex industry workers and friends, and quickly progressed to taking group classes, and private classes with Luna.

Alison has an analytical mind; she has a passion for understanding and exploring movement, and with that comes creative problem solving. She believes a good learning environment is formed around trust, play, and a willingness to ask “how/why”. As a new educator with House of Pole, Alison is just as excited to teach as she is to learn what it takes to be a great teacher.

Alison will be joining our roster teaching lower level skill and technique in Pole 2.
